Tara Timmers has been and active force in her Mental Health Recovery Journey for a number of years. She has worked as a Peer Support Worker and used inspirational leadership to guide others in finding their own path. At the present time she is an Administrative Coordinator with the BCSS, Victoria Branch .

Her need to grow in both the personal and professional segments of her life has led her to being filmed for “A Map of the Mind Fields,” a documentary by the Knowledge Network on Adolescent Psychosis.

In 2006, she was chosen to be a FACE for Mental Illness Awareness Week. Tara Quotes: “HOPE is the factor that promotes and maintains recovery, it is like the rain offering nourishment to a flower with potential to bloom. We are all learning to empower ourselves, to become full and vibrant because each of us disability or none can contribute so much to if we only learn to honor the rain.”
